Why Buy Certified Pre-Owned Subaru Vehicles?
Subaru Certified Pre-Owned models aren't like any other used vehicles. They have to go through a rigid restoration process to pass a 152-point inspection before they can earn their certification. When we get a used Subaru, our factory-trained technicians perform the inspection and reconditioning process, including details from brake pads to tire tread depth. We'll provide you with the report following our checkup, so you can be confident that we've noted every detail. Choosing a Certified Pre-Owned Subaru is cost-effective, because you also get the following coverage and services:
- CARFAX vehicle history report and buyback guarantee
- Factory-backed coverage
- 7-year/100,000 mile powertrain plan
- 24/7 roadside assistance

Similar to the manufacturer's bumper-to-bumper coverage, the Subaru Gold Plus Plan brings the best protection for certified pre-owned models. It includes everything in the Powertrain and Classic plans, plus a wide range of other components. There's so much to list, it would make more for us to mention some overall highlights. Below are a few things that are and are not covered under the Gold Plus Plan.
Some of the components the Gold Plus Plan does not cover are brake disc/pads, clutch disc, wiper blades, light bulbs, and routine maintenance items. See the contract for more details.
Here are some of the main components covered under the Gold Plus Plan: cruise control, radio and speakers, seat belt assembly, gear shift levers, hand brakes levers, cables and latches, seat releases, rear window defogger, thermostat, springs, pedals, locks, heater and a/c vents, engine brackets (including power steering), window tracks, guides, handles and knobs, wiper arms, frame, floor boards and body joints, O2 and knock sensors, power seat motors, CD player, DVD player and navigation system.

The Gold Plus Plan also offers these great benefits, in case you have any issues:
Trip Interruption Allowance
If you're more than 50 miles away from home and your car breaks down, the Gold Plus Plan will pay up to $500 towards your actual expenses for lodging and meals for you and your family. This applies only if your Subaru is being serviced for a covered repair or after the warranty period and needs to be kept in the shop overnight. If needed, Subaru can help you locate a nearby hotel, rental car company, or travel agency.
Road Hazard Tire Protection
There are several things that can damage your tires, like potholes, nails, glass, and other road hazards. If any of your tires acquire damage that are not covered by the tire manufacturer's warranty, the Gold Plus Plan will take care of those costs. The four original tires on your Subaru are covered for repairable leaks or punctures. The plan will also cover the prorated cost up to $300 if a tire replacement is necessary.
24-Hour Roadside Assistance
Subaru's 24-hour roadside assistance includes emergency dispatch towing for covered warranty or Added Security breakdowns. This includes emergency on-site road service for a jump-start, gasoline delivery, a tire change with your good spare, emergency lockout or locksmith service, and other minor repairs. It also includes the service of "Sign and Drive" up to $100 per disablement to get you back on the road in a timely manner with no out-of-pocket expense to you.
