The Crosstrek has had great success with local customers in Cascade Subaru, and we're pleased that Subaru has recently released a brand-new trim called the Wilderness. The Wilderness shares many qualities with the other Crosstrek trims, so you can appreciate its versatile and spacious cabin, modern technology and reliable engine. What makes the Wilderness distinct is that it's more rugged than the others.
Performance
When the Wilderness is next to another Crosstrek, you'll see that it sits higher off the ground than its traditional counterpart. It has a ground clearance of 9.3 inches so that it can do a better job in rugged terrain. Its X-MODE® program has two modes, allowing you to optimize performance when you face tough challenges around Hudson. The normal X-MODE® setting can enhance the traction provided by the all-wheel-drive system, and the other settings are designed for Deep Snow/Mud and Snow/Dirt conditions.
A 2.5-liter engine provides the Wilderness with 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, and it offers a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. You'll be ready for just about anything in the new Crosstrek Wilderness.
Exterior and Interior Design
Subaru has given the Crosstrek Wilderness a number of exterior features that contribute to its style and add function. It has an anti-glare hood design and fog lights, and its black roof rails are quite strong. They can handle static loads of up to 700 pounds. The roof rails have Anodized Copper accents, and Stow drivers can find those same kinds of accents throughout the rest of the vehicle, including in the cabin.
Speaking of the cabin, it's equipped with heated front seats to keep you warm during winter adventures around Akron, Ohio. The seat's StarTex® upholstery is water repellent, so you won't have to worry about getting muddy during your journeys. Like some of the other Crosstrek trims, the Crosstrek Wilderness features an 11.6-inch touchscreen with SiriusXM® and smartphone compatibility. Plus, it has Wi-Fi capability.
